Hillside House

Kinloch · Residential · New build

Exterior at duskRecessed soffit lighting provides even illumination across the cedar-clad exterior.

Balance completed the full electrical installation for this new Kinloch home, taking the project from framing through to final fit-off.

The electrical work was coordinated around the architecture, cedar cladding, large areas of glazing and outdoor living spaces, with particular attention given to creating a clean, unobtrusive finish throughout the home.

Exterior lighting was integrated around the soffits, entry and deck areas to provide practical illumination while complementing the materials and form of the building. Recessed downlights sit neatly beneath the roof overhangs, while wall-mounted fittings frame key openings and add warmth to the exterior after dark.

Low-level lighting was incorporated around the deck and landscaping to improve visibility and guide movement through the outdoor areas without overpowering the architecture. At the entry, a combination of soffit lighting, wall lighting and low-level fittings creates a clear and welcoming approach to the home.

Internally, the electrical installation was planned and wired during the framing stage, allowing power, lighting and switching to be positioned cleanly around the final layouts and finishes.

The result is a complete residential electrical installation that supports the home quietly and reliably, with careful attention to detail from first fix through to final commissioning.
